I agree that kids can indeed ride dogs. Of course, like with any sport and activity, training is required for the kids to stay on and be able to ride them like a horse. In "Riding Rudy," the kids are riding Rover, jockey style, but I have seen kids riding in a upright position on the Dog Riders Society. Like Tim Veldboom and Jeff Greene have said, one requirement is that the dog must want to do the activity. It seems to me that Rudy is enjoying all the attention he is getting from the kids. With a little more practice, they should be able to ride Rover like a horse with the dog walking and they riding on his back just like you do with a horse.
